Some of the group are young adults who just graduated and are beginning a professional career, some have worked in other fields for a period of time and decided that education is their true calling, while still others have teaching experience and are new to our region. The common characteristic is that each and every one is dedicated to doing whatever it takes to be a positive difference in the lives of their students.
These new teachers had the opportunity to meet and learn from professionals at ESU #5. Sessions throughout the two days highlighted positive connections with students to support behavior, mental wellness, availability of resources from the EKCO program, AI tools teachers can use right away, support for learning management systems and hearing from panels of educators new to teaching and also administrators.
